Why is the money from my card machine not in my bank?

 

If you've been accepting card payments for more than a few days, but the funds you've received haven't landed in your bank account, it's likely that you haven't performed an 'End of Day Banking report'.

 

 

End of Day Banking report
 

Once you've finished trading for the day, you need to perform an End of Day Banking report from within your card machine. This is also known as a 'batch' or 'batching'.

 

It's the equivalent of 'cashing up' on a traditional till, and ensures the money you've collected through your card machine ends up in your bank account. It should be performed daily, as it confirms the transaction totals that have been sent to your acquirer.

 

For example, if you take a card payment on Monday, but don’t batch until Wednesday, there will be at least a two-day delay in receiving Monday’s funds, on top of any additional processing times.

Failure to batch will result in no funds going into your account. It's possible to setup automatic daily batching on our card machines, so you don't need to worry about doing it manually each day. To enable this, you will need to call us:

 

 

Settlement times
 

Once you’ve completed your End of Day Banking report, it will be sent to your acquiring bank to be processed and paid into your account.

 

Your typical settlement time will depend on your account setup, any additional services associated to your account, and in some cases, which country you're trading from:
