Why is my 'settlement pending'?

 

‘Settlement pending’ is an error message prompted by your card machine when a scheduled automatic batch has not been successfully completed.

 

In most card machines, the End of Day report (which is like 'cashing up' on a card machine) is scheduled to run automatically. This could be at 2am daily, for example.

If for some reason this does not happen, or it gets missed, the card machine will prompt a settlement pending error and display a capital ‘S’ on the status bar:

Simply run an End of Day report, irrespective of what time of day it is, and the notification will be cleared. If you’re unsure how to do this, you can look it up in our user guides.
