The Government announced that a 12.5% VAT rate will apply to businesses in the tourism and hospitality industry for six months from 1st October until 31st March 2022. Aimed at helping businesses better manage the transition back to the 20% normal standard VAT rate on 1st April 2022, the temporary increase is coming to an end.

For customers with an EPOS Now terminal, applying the new rate is simple with a FREE app that will allow you to bulk change the VAT on your products.

Simply visit the EPOS Now website, and follow the instructions to set up a new VAT rate. You can download ‘The VAT Change Tool’ from today until Friday 7th April and must use it before 14th October when it will be deactivated.
