How long have you been working at Retail Merchant Services?
Almost 3 years now.
I understand you’ve had a rich and varied career, what attracted you to RMS?
With many years’ experience in the sales industry, coming to RMS with uncapped commission seemed the perfect partnership.
What are the main responsibilities of your role?
As a senior BDA, my main responsibility is to create robust appointments that will lead to successful sales. I'm also responsible for the training and coaching of new members of staff.
Please describe your typical day in the office.
My days are varied and I like to be on top of things, so I plan ahead and liaise regularly with the BDMs. I process my call backs and make numerous phone calls to introduce Retail Merchant Services and set solid appointments for the sales team. I also make time to prepare coaching exercises and deliver this on a 1:1 basis.
Are there any challenges in your role? If so, what are they?
One of the main challenges is to attract multi-site clients where there are high potential sales that contribute to the success of the company.
Are there any benefits of working at RMS? If so, what are they?
Working in a dynamic and motivating environment there is an opportunity for high financial reward. I've progressed and earned a promotion as my achievements have been recognised.
What feedback do you get from customers about RMS?
Customers are very happy with the service we provide and are reassured by the 24 hour support available and great benefits package. Plenty of positive feedback on review websites such as Trustpilot is encouraging.

What do you think is the key to providing excellent customer service?
The key is integrity and delivering on assurances. Happy customers lead to greater success.

Career advancement and personal development are readily encouraged at RMS; I run my desk as my own business.
What qualities does a person need to work at a company like RMS?
A good telephone manner is an obvious requirement. A diligent and enthusiastic person with a flair for sales and good humour will do well at RMS.
